Time Out
And no we're not talking about the chocolate bar!!!
We're talking about the one and only 'TimeOut' concert in Cairns that we'll be playing at in just over a weeks time.
Yep that's right - we'll be touching down in Cairns next Sat Aug 30th to play alongside Scribe, Blue King Brown and Faker at the concert. The TimeOut concert is the biggest outdoor gig in Cairns so make sure you and your pals come along for a fun filled evening.
Here are a few details:
Time: 4pm-10pm
Venue: Cairns Showgrounds
Admission: $50 (pre-purchase) or $60 on the door
All Ages event/ID must be shown to be served alcohol.

Whooah...did someone say 2 festivals in the one weekend?!...now that's pretty sweet!
Hey Ya'll,
As you all know by now, we'll be performing at the Coaster festival in Gosford on Saturday September 20th (tix are on sale now) but what's even more exciting is that we'll also be hitting the stage at ANOTHER festival the next day...phew!
It's called the "Badlands Festival" and the line up includes us, COG, After The Fall, The Hot Lies, Trial Kennedy, Dead Letter Circus plus many more. It's on at The Manning Bar, Sydney UNI on Sunday September 21st and is an over 18 event. Click the poster below for more details.

Anyone up for COASTER - ing?!
We are so stoked to announce that we will be performing at the Coaster festival in Gosford, NSW on September 20th 2008. What is Coaster you ask?!...it's Australia's newest and most exciting All Ages music and arts extravaganza, featuring live performances from some of Australia's biggest acts.
The line up this year includes us (;p), The Living End, our good pals and label mates Something with Numbers, The Matches, Potbellez, Bluejuice and.........bah, just read the poster below haha. All I can tell you is that it's going to be one hell of a fantastic day and we wanna see you all there so be sure to get in really fast when tix go on sale on Wednesday July 2nd.

Ugly Birds and 3 sold out shows...

So I'm sure most of you have probably heard by now but we now have 3 sold out shows for the Bones and Skin tour. They are:
* 23rd May @ The Tivoli - UnLic AA, Brisbane QLD
* 24th May @ The Enmore Theatre - AA, Sydney NSW
* 28th May @ The Corner Hotel - U 18, Melbourne VIC
Thank you to everyone who has bought tickets...we're looking forward to seeing all of you. There are still tickets left for all our other shows so go get them now before you miss out forever. All dates and info can be found on here, kisschasy.com, or belowpar.org. Not long to go now...we'll be in QLD next Tuesday to open the Bones and Skin tour. We're really excited and hope you are too.

New album and sold out show...
So our new album is instore now...woop! If you haven't already done so, head to your nearest record store now and pick up a copy for yourself...you know you want to. The album comes with lots of great features including a DVD of all our music clips, rare never before heard tracks and b-sides. It's titled 'Too B or Not Too B' and it's the one that's all yellow so it's kinda not that hard to miss (lol). Here's what it looks like in case you already didn't know...
Also, tickets for the U 18 show at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne have completely sold out. We are stoked about this but also sad for the kids who missed out...sorry guys but we did warn you. If you haven't got tickets to the rest of our shows, go get them NOW before they all sell out (The Sydney Enmore show is soooo close to selling out so best to get in quick for that one).
And don't forget about the competition we are running......when you pre-purchase a ticket to one or more of the shows, you will go into the running to win one of the original paintings from the "hymns for the nonbeliever" album artwork as painted by Jen Porreca. All you have to do is simply email in your ticket confirmation receipt or a scan of your physical receipt to kisschasy@melodicmusic.com

Too B or Not Too B
Do you remember back in 2004 when a young band from the Mornington Peninsula released two influential EP's on indie label Below Par Records? These two EP's each sold a few thousand copies and enjoyed some Triple J and community radio play, but still remained mainly under the radar. The band also did back to back tours in a 12 seater van all over the country and shortly after the EP's were deleted as the band went on to release their debut album.

Four years later, that young band has now sold in excess of 90,000 records, have two gold certified albums, a slew of award nominations, have toured internationally and played to packed houses everywhere they went. However the old school fans were still requesting to hear these old songs from the EP's at shows every time the band tour, so it seemed fitting to compile both of these EP's and release them on one disc.
What came next was the fact that the B-sides from the singles from their debut album, United Paper People, have also been deleted - so it was decided that these B-sides would also be part of this collection titled 'Too B or Not Too B'.
Are you still guessing??....because it's us of course.
Still not feeling complete we decided to add three previously unreleased tracks to the compilation to give our fans a package that every Kisschasy fan would want to own. These tracks are "Jack The Alien", "Wake. Turn. Sleep. Repeat" and "Electric In The Chair". On top of all of this there is also a bonus DVD which features all of our music videos to date. It all fits into a nice package to be released the week prior to our upcoming tour, which will see us playing a collection of new and old songs for the very first time.
‘Too B Or Not Too B’ will come with 16 tracks plus a bonus DVD featuring all our music videos from United Paper People and our current record Hymns For The Non Believer. The collection will also tie in with our upcoming "Bones and Skin" tour, which will see us headlining the biggest venues to date. Supporting us on the tour will be US all girl rock band The Donnas and Melbourne's The Getaway Plan.
Tix are still available for all shows so don't delay, get yours today. Then after you've bought them, enter the competition to win one of the paintings from the 'Hymns for the Non Believer' booklet (more details can be found in the news section).
We will also be in Sydney this weekend to perform at the MTVAA's so be sure to tune into MTV on Sat to catch the awards live.
